Aneeta's vision is to create a culture where we become a community that values Integrity, Service, Respect and Excellence and incorporates them as anchor points in all decisions we make. We will build new clubs, strengthen existing clubs, work towards educational excellence.
Andrew Mertens, presently a member of 3 clubs - Blossoming Voices, Speaking From Experience Advanced Toastmasters and TGIF Advanced - joined his first club in 2011. "I initially joined to support a colleague, but after the first meeting, I was hooked. The meetings and the educational framework format gave me a huge boost of confidence and enhanced my analytical skills ten-fold.
The opportunities to grow were endless and allowed me to expand my skill set as a speaker, as a leader, as an event organizer, as a webmaster. Pathways' educational curriculum touches upon so many facets that are real-world relevant, such as writing a compelling blog, creating a podcast, managing projects, etc.
Effective July 1st, 2021, Andrew will be responsible for all aspects of education and training within the District.
Angela Ho joined Toronto #1 Toastmasters in 2011. Effective July 1st, 2021, she will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, club building and club retention efforts within the District.
"As a member of the Toronto #1 Toastmasters and working in various district roles, I have the opportunity to work with many amazing Toastmasters that have inspired me to develop my communication and leadership skills in a supportive environment. We share in our desire to help each other grow into the limitless potential that lies within each of us. I am proud to be able to serve our members as District 60 Club Growth Director this 2021-2022 term."
