By: Clearwell Europe AB Starting a new era in the textile and fashion industry, where concern for the environment, sustainability and innovation are very relevant elements for the sector's recovery process, the FASHION HUB started these challenges to offer solutions to the industry sector's challenges with creativity and innovation. A handful of large fashion companies have identified their particular "pain points", where the Lycra Company see their largest obstacle being the heavy consumption of water and everything that relates to that. To reduce water consumption, they seek a solution to recycle (reuse) and purify their wastewater more efficiently, like reuse of industrial and rain water, reuse of water from the regeneration of the demineralized water system, reuse of water from the evaporation process of the cooling towers, reuse of air conditioning condensate, reduction in the consumption of distillation columns, elimination or reduction in the use of water from the cleaning of machines, all of which needs a degree of cleaning to be able to recycle and this is where Clearwell comes in. "Clearwell is a relatively new company, recently establishing itself in the Brazilian market, a market with huge possibilities in many industry verticals like mining, recycling and urban water. Being selected to participate in the Fashion Hub Challenges is a great opportunity for us", says Helder Gaudencio, operational manager at Clearwell Brazil. "In conjunction to the Fashion Hub Challenges, we have also been approached by FUNASA, to explore alternatives to improve the water purification methods throughout communities and smaller cities" Mr Gaudencio continues. "Our water purification solutions are in many aspects unique and world leading, when it comes to cleaning industrial wastewater, where others fail, we succeed" says Nikolas Georgii, VP of marketing at Clearwell Europe. "Being selected to offer a solution by the Lycra company is very honouring and we hope to make it to the next stage in the challenge" Mr Georgii continues.
