Mindfulness Workshop Series at The Meeting Space
Lifestyle Mentors, Tamara Kino and Dana Perich, partner with The Meeting Space and local business owners to present about meditation
Mindfulness is a choice to use all of one's sense awareness to focus on what's happening right now, inside and outside. Once aware, the goal is to perceive it without judgement. Studies show that all aspects of wellness (physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual) are positively impacted by a regular mindful practice, even after only a few weeks.
During this afternoon workshop, TaDā Wellness provided an introduction to mindfulness, discussing the benefits, as well as strategies on how to integrate mindfulness into every day life. Tamara Kino and Dana Perich, lifestyle mentors, also discussed how mindfulness in longer periods of time is meditation.
Other local business owners led workshops on different types of meditation. Camille of Moving and Grooving, a dance studio for kids, taught about moving meditation while Susan performed a singing bowl meditation.
TaDā Wellness will also be offering an online workshop via Zoom on Wednesday, July 21 at 4 PM (PST). This workshop will focus on Mindful Mobility and how to purposefully implement mobility into daily life regardless of ability.
