By: Bridge House About Jesse Falzoi Jesse Falzoi was born in Hamburg and raised in Lübeck, Germany. After stays in the US and France, she moved to Berlin in the beginning of the nineties. Her stories as well as her translation of Donald Barthelme's "Sentence" have appeared in American, Russian, Indian, German, Swiss, Irish, British, and Canadian magazines and anthologies. Her German book on craft "Creative Writing" came out in 2017, her German novel "Das Geheimnis der Welt" will soon be published in English by Darkhouse Books, San Francisco. About the book Jesse Falzoi writes with the authority of somebody who understands that sorrow and happiness can't exist without each other. Her characters are as smart as she is, and like all good writers, the risks she takes on the page mean big rewards for her readers. Count me as a fan.
