Goodwill Celebrates their new Blue Boutique with a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

FORT MYERS, Fla. - July 9, 2021 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida welcomes shoppers to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new downtown boutique at 5 pm Friday, July 16, 2021, just prior to the River District's Music Walk.

The new upscale boutique, rebranded as blue: A Goodwill Boutique, is located at 2285 First Street at the historic Heitman Building at the corner of First and Jackson in downtown Fort Myers. It offers gently used designer brands, new goods and home décor with the addition of a fine art gallery and an expansive book department.

Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson will attend the event, as well as local historian, Gerry Reaves, who will do a presentation on the history of the Heitman Building and will be doing a book signing. There will also be a local artist doing "live" painting in front of the boutique on First Street.

Goodwill Southwest Florida is a non-profit organization that utilizes the selling of donated goods to employ more than 800 individuals in Southwest Florida. Through community philanthropy, grants and sponsorships, they are able to support over 24,000 individuals a year as they work towards independence through Goodwill's disability services, employment training and support, housing, and small business development.
