Resilience Rises With Project Petals

NEW YORK - July 8, 2021 - PRLog -- The iconic celebrity, news and human-interest magazine People select Project Petals' Executive Director and Queens resident Alicia White as one of four individuals featured in a special campaign titled "Resiliency Rising." In a joint partnership with U.S. Bank, the Resiliency Rising initiative is a celebration of people who displayed their leadership capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic while influencing those in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.

Since March 2020, Project Petals spearheaded numerous projects by developing green spaces, food distribution sites and gardens for local areas across NYC. Project Petals environmental spaces served as a refuge for thousands of New York residents in NYCHA in the Bronx, Bergen Street Garden in Brooklyn and gardens in South East Queens.

"I started Project Petals to improve my community and I'm proud of the impact we have made throughout vulnerable communities in NYC during the pandemic and beyond," stated Executive Director Alicia White.
