DIGITAL DESIFEST 2021 presented by TD

TORONTO - July 7, 2021 - PRLog -- DESIFEST 2021, Canada's premier South Asian music festival is proud to announce its partnership with TD, for their digital festival from July 24-25, 2021. Once again, the organizations collaborate to continue showcasing music and new artists from across Canada, the US, and the globe. This year, the festival continues its series of pioneering virtual sessions which saw over 350 shows and 500 artists showcased, and connecting artists to millennial audiences

The global music festival this year will be showcasing 40 artists across two days, including chart-topping South Asian musicians such as Avanti Nagral, Jonita Gandhi, Arjun, Kiran & Nivi, Kunal Pandit, Himani Kapoor, along with rising stars across Canada.

The theme for this year's festival is "ONE SONG," highlighting each artist's narrative about their journey and the one song they hold dear. Inspired by stories and experiences, DESIFEST aims to unite people through our common love for music, especially in the light of the pandemic hitting our industry. For local audiences, the festival takes the form of a virtual dinner and show, in partnership with Pumpkin Kart to bring a full-festival experience to its viewers.

ABOUT DESIFEST
DESIFEST is a non-profit grassroots organization established in 2006 to foster and grow the large South Asian Arts Community in Toronto and Canada. The organization has helped unify the artist community, create awareness, and develop new showcase opportunities in Toronto, across Canada, and internationally. Since 2006, DESIFEST has hosted over 13 annual concerts at Yonge-Dundas Square and supported 500+ artists worldwide. The community has also raised 2M in funding for South Asian arts and has evolved to a larger online spectrum when the pandemic hit, with their Sofa Sessions that invited over 350+ artists across the world to perform and showcase their talent.
