Engaged employees have a higher dedication and enthusiasm in regard to their tasks, responsibilities and overall objectives of an organisation. Engagement can't just be improved for one employee; it needs to be improved company wide.

Measuring engagement depends on a range of factors and attitudes that aren't necessarily concrete and are changing every day. Measurement starts with a survey. For engagement improvement strategies to be effective, they must become part of an organisation's culture. This can involve better steps for onboarding and training which statistically leads to higher employee retention. It might also involve fostering employee development through learning opportunities afforded by a learning management system.
