WARSAW, Poland - July 5, 2021 - PRLog -- More and more people globally are opting to use an implant to make contactless payments. Why? One of the main reasons is the security an implant provides. As evidenced by – for example – the latest nationwide survey conducted by research lab BIOSTAT, over 72 percent of citizens of Poland worry about having their wallets and payment cards stolen.

Identity theft affects one third of us
Researchers asked Poles (European Union citizens) if they had ever lost their wallet or payment card (whether or not it was found later). It turns out that more than one in three respondents had lost their wallet or payment card. This question was answered in the affirmative by 38.3% of the surveyed. Interestingly, residents of big cities (43.7%) are more likely to lose their cards or wallets than residents of rural areas (26.4%). BIOSTAT also asked respondents if they're worried their wallets and payment cards might be stolen. As many as 72.1% of respondents answered „Yes". Using a payment implant eliminates this worry. You can't "hack" an implant, take a picture of it, or skim it like a traditional payment card.

Forgot your wallet?
Respondents were asked if they wanted to buy something but did not have cash or a payment card on them during the last 6 months. Nearly half of them answered in the affirmative (43.5%). There is huge potential for the growth and use of payment implants over traditional contactless payment methods. A payment implant cannot be forgotten, lost, hacked, or stolen. "I believe in the near future, up to 3% of all non-cash transactions in Poland will be done using payment implants. It is a huge number." says Wojciech Paprota, CEO and co-founder of the Polish-British start-up Walletmor, the first company in the world offering secure payment implants.

Free implants? Sure!
At the end of the survey, residents of Poland were asked if they would use an implant for contactless payment and various other activities such as opening doors, using a city card, storing medical data, etc. if it was completely free? As many as 47.3% answered yes to this question. This seems to indicate society as a whole is not at all skeptical of the idea of implants. There is a huge amount of interest from consumers, trade, merchants, and banks. A bright future awaits us all.
