Office2Home Solutions Corp.: Canadians Are in no Rush to Head Back to the Office
The data comes as several provinces start easing pandemic restrictions following a continual decline in COVID-19 new cases and hospitalizations from third-wave highs.
According to a recent poll conducted by Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies among Canadian employees, very few employees wished to fully return to work from the office once the COVID-19 pandemic is over. 82 percent of Canadian respondents who have worked from home during the pandemic have found the experience to be very or somewhat positive. In comparison, just 20 percent declared a preference towards spending all work hours outside of the home. The largest group of workers (almost 60 percent) preferred to return to the office part-time or occasionally, while 19 percent said they never want to go back. The top three reasons for choosing to continue to work from home were convenience, saving money and increased productivity.
