Wisconsin Resident Wins the Inaugural Hurst/Olds Dream Giveaway!
By: New Beginning Children's Homes
Mr. Miller made several donations to enter the Hurst/Olds Dream Giveaway but it was his donation on April 14, 2021, that landed him the winning ticket. "While I was very fortunate to have won this great '69 Hurst/Olds, I looked at it as supporting the charities with a chance to win the car, and not that supporting the charities was the way to win the car," he said. "I really feel good about helping the charities."
On May 13, 2021, Mr. Miller received the congratulatory telephone call giving him the exciting news. "When I got the call, my first thought was: Is this really happening?" he said. "As the call went on, it became clear that it was real! Then my thoughts quickly turned to the realization that I had a lot of work to do to clean out the garage to make room for the car. Winning sunk in, in stages. After the initial surprise of hearing that I won, it became more real and more exciting with each stage of the process. It really hit home, and full excitement was reached as I watched the car roll off the transport and the driver handed me the keys."
Now that the grand-prize Hurst/Olds muscle car is home with him, Mr. Miller has had some time to enjoy it, "It looks and runs great," he said. "We have driven it quite a bit the last week, since it was delivered. It's fun to watch all the heads turn as we drive by."
Mr. Miller is a project manager for a technology implementation company. He spends his free time working on cars or doing projects around the house.
For the people who have yet to enter a Dream Giveaway, Mr. Miller had this to say, "Find a promotion you are interested in, donate what you can, and see what happens. You might be the next one to get that call letting you know you are a winner."
