Book Release: Better Half vs Battered Half

The relationship between a man and a woman is an ever-changing emotional state of mind. The passionate relationship between a young couple gradually changes along with the perpetually dynamic stages of life. When children grow independent and leave home, the old couple finds themselves left behind to live within the confines of their home to spend the rest of their lives. At this stage, the expression of love takes the form of deep care and concern for each other. But the manifestation of care and concern often comes hidden under the cover of verbal altercations. An outsider may mistake these arguments as meaningless fights. People usually fight with each other to achieve something. But old couples seem to fight without any reason and practically for nothing. Typically, a husband does not stand a chance to withstand the storm whipped up by his wife's superior lung power and quicker wit. He survives it by not taking her onslaught seriously. Due to their absolute contradictory points of view towards the same situation, a series of hilarious situations emerge. The author showcases the humorous contents of such fights; fought behind closed doors of almost in every senior citizen's home. But no one openly admits it. Also, there are stories relating to various stages of married life as newlywed couples, couples with young children, couples with marriageable aged children, couples on the verge of divorce etc. Thus, making the stories relatable to couples of different age groups. This anthology of light-hearted short stories is surprisingly refreshing. They are pretty different from the 'compulsively page-turner and cliff-hanger' type of stories of the Author's other books."

In his third book, the author has dragged some rib-tickling wry humour out of the secret closets of old couples which are relatable by most of the senior citizens and readers in general.
