Presenting Companies for the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Cleantech Challenge Announced

BOULDER, Colo. - June 24, 2021 - PRLog -- Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) and CALSTART have announced the 12 technology companies selected to present at the second Commercial Vehicle Cleantech Challenge (CVCC). Finalists were selected from an international pool of applicants.

The CVCC is one in a series of Cleantech Challenges that connect large industry partners directly to innovative clean technology solutions. For CVCC, CCIA is partnering with CALSTART to scout innovative transportation technologies that address gaps in the trucking industry. The 2021 call for applications asked for companies with innovative solutions related to:

Infrastructure for Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) charging

Infrastructure for Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) charging

Cost reduction for electrification of the powertrain

Vehicle automation & connectivity

Driver attraction, retention, & health

On-vehicle hydrogen performance and cost

Truck and trailer refrigeration

Last mile truck productivity

Program sponsors vetted applications from around the globe and selected 12 companies as finalists to present during the virtual program on July 15, 2021. Finalists will pitch their technologies to major transportation companies, OEMs and investors and will have the opportunity for a pilot/trial, investment, commercial contract, acquisition or partnership with the sponsor companies.

The CVCC is produced in partnership with program sponsors including: Toyota, Eaton, Navistar, Kenworth, GM, NextEra Energy, the Consulate General of Canada in Denver, Black & Veatch, Denver Metro Clean Cities, National Renewable Energy Lab, E Source, RMI, Colorado Energy Office, NACFE, and the Colorado Hydrogen Network.
