Follow on Google News | Miami Beach Music Festival Announces 2021 Summer Program On Miami BeachBy: Miami Beach Music Festival The 2021 summer season is anchored by two cutting-edge opera productions. Cendrillon tells the famous story of Cinderella in richly romantic music by French composer Jules Massenet. In English composer Benjamin Britten's comic opera Albert Herring, the timid Albert shocks the village folk with drunken hijinks. Both productions feature MMF's talented vocalists and a full orchestra, and will take place in partnership with Faena Art and in one of the highest-profile venues in Miami Beach, the breathtaking Faena Forum. The performances are free and open to the public with VIP tickets available for $75. Albert Herring is scheduled for July 15th & 17th at 7:30 PM, Cendrillon is on July 16th at 7:30 PM and July 18th at 2:00 PM. On Independence Day weekend, the MMF Orchestra tours Miami Beach, entertaining thousands with free outdoor concerts in Lummus Park, Lincoln Road, and at the North Beach Bandshell, offering fun for the entire family. Recognized as one of Miami Beach's signature patriotic events, the Fourth of July concert series is an annual celebration of patriotic music and the soundtrack for two of the area's best fireworks shows. Presented by the City of Miami Beach, Ocean Drive Association, The Betsy – South Beach, Lincoln Road Business Improvement District, and the North Beach Bandshell, the MMF Independence Day concerts are an American celebration everyone can enjoy. MMF continues its tradition of outstanding education for young vocalists and instrumentalists by providing instruction from world-class faculty. Additionally, a popular program for pre-professional conductors, the MMF Conducting Institute, offers invaluable real-world experience for young artists who conduct the musicians of the MMF Orchestra in rehearsals at Miami Beach Woman's Club and a public concert on July 11 at Temple Emanu-El. MMF participants benefit from individual instruction and take part in rehearsals in a virtual Festival session in June, followed by a residency period in Miami Beach in which they perform for in-person audiences.
