About BADGE 112 …
"A steady, bone-chilling drizzle settled on Claudia Gallagher's last path. It was the first time the nature of a call or the presence of a victim had given me shivers from the inside out…
…I thumbed through the stack of photos her husband had given me. She was smiling and enjoying the spirit of living in all of them. Police officers get a sense about people they meet and those they just hear about. I got that Mrs. Gallagher was as genuinely nice as she was portrayed and guarding her body bonded me to her like few other victims of any crime. The wait for the detectives was interminable."
Officer Peter Stipe is haunted by the victims of crime and the sudden death of a mother he couldn't save from herself. Badge 112 is the odyssey of a cop whose sudden success leads to a downward spiral. Adrenaline-fueled pursuits and rescues crash into the wreckage of a double-dealing marriage and a doomed affair. Stipe has an uncanny knack for timely arrivals and felony arrests. But how he deals with a shattered personal life and the pursuit of a serial killer, against the backdrop of simmering racial tensions, is something else.
