Second Annual Official Make Music Temecula Day Planned For June 21 2021

TEMECULA, Calif. - June 17, 2021 - PRLog -- The second annual Make Music Temecula Day will happen in Temecula on Monday, June 21, 2021. Make Music Temecula Day is a free musical celebration on June 21, with performances occurring throughout the city.

Make Music Temecula Day is part of the international Make Music Day, which brings free, community-wide, in and outdoor, in-person and virtual celebrations to hundreds of cities worldwide. Make Music Day started in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique. Every year, the celebration is held on June 21 in communities large and small around the globe. This year's event will be coordinated by Make Music Temecula non-profit organization.

Even with the uncertainties of the world, you can still count on music to be there and reflect the emotions of our times." said Joanna Pearl, President Make Music Temecula. "This year we are incredibly honored because the City of Temecula has proclaimed June 21 to be Make Music Temecula Day." (Proclaimed at the June 8, 2021 City Council meeting by Mayor MaryAnn Edward)

Make Music Temecula seeks volunteer music lovers looking to uncover, celebrate, and amplify the hidden and not so hidden talented among us. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate by performing, collaborating, making instruments and more. This year, due to the unpredictability of COVID-19 restrictions for the State of California, there will be planned events taking place virtually on Make Music Temecula Facebook page and hold one in-person event at CaliCo Studios in Temecula, where free-instruments will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The community, both individuals and groups are encouraged to hold their own events and register them on the website at: http://www.makemusicday.org/temecula.
