Every kind of musician, young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion is encouraged to participate. There are many ways citizens can take part in activities. One way is by registering to perform or collaborate on a Make Music event with local musicians and venues. All information on how to participate can be found by visiting www.makemusicday.org/ "We are beyond excited to not only have a Make Music chapter here in Temecula, but it's also an incredible feeling to know that we have amazing women and men running our city that understand and support music." said Joanna Pearl, President of Make Music Temecula. "It was really emotional to be on the council call for the proclamation. I grew up in this valley and I just want to give back and continue to enrich the music scene that has given so much to me." Temecula joins hundreds of communities large and small around the globe. Make Music Temecula Day is part of the international Make Music Day, which brings free, in and outdoor, in-person and virtual musical celebrations to the community. Make Music Day started in France in 1982 (presented by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation) as the FĂȘte de la Musique. This year's events will be coordinated by Make Music Temecula organization members.
