Make Music Temecula Day Officially Proclaimed By The City Of Temecula

TEMECULA, Calif. - June 17, 2021 - PRLog -- Make Music Temecula non-profit (501(c)3 pending) is proud to announce the proclamation Monday, June 21, 2021 and every twenty-first day of June hereafter to be recognized as Make Music Temecula Day in the city of Temecula. Mayor Maryann Edwards signed the proclamation on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 and officially announced it during the regular  virtually held June meeting with council and the founding members of Make Music Temecula, Joanna Pearl and Gary Johnson.

This day of celebration, is free and open to anyone that wants to take part. Every kind of musician, young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion is encouraged to participate. There are many ways citizens can take part in activities. One way is by registering to perform or collaborate on a Make Music event with local musicians and venues. "We are beyond excited to not only have a Make Music chapter here in Temecula, but it's also an incredible feeling to know that we have amazing women and men running our city that understand and support music." said Joanna Pearl, President of Make Music Temecula. "It was really emotional to be on the council call for the proclamation. I grew up in this valley and I just want to give back and continue to enrich the music scene that has given so much to me."

Temecula joins hundreds of communities large and small around the globe. Make Music Temecula Day is part of the international Make Music Day, which brings free, in and outdoor, in-person and virtual musical celebrations to the community. Make Music Day started in France in 1982 (presented by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation) as the Fête de la Musique.
