DALLAS - June 10, 2021 - PRLog -- The Yoruba community resident in the State of Texas congregates at the Dallas City Hall on Saturday, June 12, 2021, to commemorate their Democracy Day celebrations with a rally tagged 'Yoruba Nation Now' to demand a peaceful segregation from the colonial geopolitical imposition called the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Yoruba people are descendants of Oduduwa who live in the South-western region of Nigeria organized by the Omo Yoruba Dallas Forth Worth.

Pastor Raphael Adebayo, President of Omo Yoruba DFW leading the call to solicit international support for self-determination insists that the Yoruba people must be rescued from entrenched feudalism that imposes poverty, political oppression from the state actors who employ mercenaries to devastate their farmlands and kill Yoruba farmers with state-financed sophisticated military equipment, threats of war from inept presidency for who applauds terrorists turning round to arrest and terrorize agitators for political freedom. Pastor Adebayo is a founding cabinet member of the pan-Yoruba governing body called the Yoruba Global Directorate or the Yoruba Government in exile headed by Professor Stephen 'Banji Akintoye.

The Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance (NINAS), the umbrella organization for all the tribes seeking peaceful exit from Nigeria issued a 'Red Alert' on Monday, 7th day of June 2021 warning Yoruba communities concerning the collapse of the national security apparatus and its compromised ability to provide security to Nigerian citizens. General Buhari, the President of Nigeria recently confirmed the inability of government to protect Nigerians. NINAS is dedicated to the stopping of official marginalization and discrimination that emphasize the superiority of certain tribes over the others.

The Yoruba Global Directorate (https://yorubanationglobaldirectorate.org) (https://www.yorubanationglobaldirectorate.org/) is a coalition of groups dedicated to the call for self-determination of the Yoruba peoples. The Directorate dialogues with various stakeholders to negotiate the peaceful exit of the Yoruba people from Nigeria. In December 2020, The Directorate joined other groups in NINAS to declare a Constitutional Force Majeure following its recognition by the Unrecognized Nations Peoples and Peoples Organization (unpo.org).

The rally in Dallas, Texas on June 12 or Democracy Day is a Nigerian public holiday dedicated to celebrating the unrealized first peaceful, free, and fair election in Nigeria. The public awareness rallies are one of the strategies preceding a proposed referendum to survey the opinion of the concerned Yoruba people.
