By: First America Homes
"We are very happy to work on this project alongside two incredible charities," said Kristen Rinewalt, Vice President of Purchasing for First America Homes. "We couldn't have done it without our vendors who donated materials and labor to help with the costs. We look forward to seeing the project kick-off with Solid Foundations and Builder's Post Tension's completion of the foundation in the next few weeks."
Families visiting The Promise House will have access to bath facilities, a family room, a teaching kitchen, a playroom and a dining room. They will have the opportunity to complete weekly goals such as Individual Case Management, Weekly Goal Setting Life Skills Classes, a Fast Track GED Certificate Program, an Individualized Education Program, Parenting and Money Management Classes.
"We strive to give families the resources and support they need to keep their families together, while helping them to heal and work together to gain their independence from poverty and homelessness,"
Dave Barnhart, Division President of First America Homes, added "No one chooses to be homeless, and we are blessed to be able to give back, help these families get back on their feet, and find success through this program."
The Promise House is located near the intersection of Wilson Road and 1960 in Humble and is on track to be opened to families in the program by the end of the year.
