United Way of the Coastal Empire Celebrates 2020 Accomplishments and Welcomes New Leadership

The organization also welcomed Jeff O'Connor of First Citizens Bank as new board chair and Cecilia Russo Turner of Cecilia Russo Marketing as new campaign chair. The Annual Meeting was held at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa with limited attendance.
"I am honored to be the next campaign chair of the United Way of the Coastal Empire. So many I respect and admire have gone before me. And as I have spoken to many of them, one thing is clear: no one does it alone," said Russo Turner. "The success of our 2021 campaign depends on all of us. We can do this: Forward United!"
Silbermann expressed gratitude to volunteers for their dedicated service to the community through United Way and proudly shared the work the organization has done throughout the past year. He also presented the Craig Harney's Spirit of Philanthropy Awards to three extraordinary individuals:

The business portion of the Annual Meeting continued with the election of 20 new community leaders to serve on the Board of Directors, as well as its slate of executive committee members for 2021.
2021 Board Chair Jeff O'Connor shared the organization's vision of the future. "We look forward to continuing to build upon the tremendous legacy of the United Way in our community, putting even greater focus on building stronger, deeper, and wider community partnerships,"
