About Felipe

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Felipe Barganier is a self- made entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in the corporate insurance and financial services industries. Starting his career in 1999, he took a position in the back office of a broker-dealer firm and excelled. During his time there, he took and passed the General Securities Representative Exam (Series 7), enabling him to obtain his broker's license. He went on to work for two larger firms, focused on asset management and insurance benefits. Felipe earned a promotion as the Public Sector Manager for the State of Georgia and various sales and production awards.

In 2003, Felipe started GAB International, LLC—an insurance, employee/retirement benefits, and payroll provider. Barganier is one of the only African American founders of a successful benefits brokerage firm.

Felipe has received public honors, including the 2016 Georgia Minority Business Insurance Industry Of The Year Award and the 2017 BenefitsPRO Broker of the Year finalist (top 5).
