Follow on Google News | Families of World War II Veterans to be Benefiting Charity at Frisco Charity Car ShowBy: Families of World War II Veterans Families of World War II Veterans was founded by Barbara Fasola, CEO of Frisco-based Careington International Corporation. Fasola was moved to create Families of World War II Veterans in honor of her father, a World War II veteran, who served in the South Pacific. Families of World War II Veterans awards annual scholarships each year to students pursuing an undergraduate degree at the college of their choice. Scholarships are awarded based on academic standing and financial need, and no lineage is required. "We are honored to be a benefiting charity of the Frisco Charity Car Show," said Fasola. "This very special event will bring together people across the community in support of youth-focused charities, including Families of World War II Veterans. The organization was founded to help students achieve their goals of attaining a higher education, and we are thrilled to be a part of this charity event designed to help support future generations." "This charity event was coordinated for the purpose of supporting charities that have a mission of helping our youth in North Texas and across the nation," said Matthew Rinker, event organizer. "I'm excited that the first annual charity car show will help to support these worthy causes, and I look forward to organizing similar events in the years to come."
