Modeling for a cause to help save animals

HOUSTON - May 13, 2021 - PRLog -- Houston area resident Jimisu Balko was looking for a unique way to raise awareness and funds for a cause about which she is passionate — getting animals out of cages and into loving homes and clearing the shelters.

She decided the best way was to keep the issue on people's minds every day of the year. So, she created the organization now known as Jimisu and her Beauties over a decade ago.  We have prevented tens of thousands of unwanted births and helped many, many families with the cost of pet adoption fees.

"I can't believe how well we're doing and how many people love what we stand for," said Jimisu, who is well known around Houston and surrounding areas as "Queen of Fur Babies".

Jimisu's models, whom she lovingly called her "Beauties" are well over 40 and professional women with one thing in common, a love of animals.

"We all work our heinies off,'' says the Founder, Jimisu. Jimisu and her Beauties is a 100% volunteer organization.  We have no salaries, office cost and we receive no government funding and are proud to be a 501(c)3 organization.

Balko's first pet was a Manchester Chihuahua mix named Tipper, who was her companion from elementary school through high school.  Jimisu now shares her life with her two rescue Chihuahuas: Cupid and Blitzen.

I am so excited that we are once again offering our "Adoption Program" at the Pasadena Animal Shelter. These adopted pets are spayed/neutered, rabies shot and micro-chipped and the fee is picked up by the Beauties.
