Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida Earns Laboratory Reaccreditation
Accreditation is awarded only to laboratories that apply highest standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing, and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey.
"We are honored to receive reaccreditation from COLA. This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our staff, medical support and physicians and shows our long-term commitment to provide high quality medical care to our patients," said Dr. Mary Yankaskas, managing physician of Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida.
COLA is a non-profit, physician-directed organization promoting quality and excellence in laboratory medicine and patient care through programs of voluntary education, achievement, and accreditation.
COLA is approved by the federal government and sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.
Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida, a physician-owned and operated medical practice, is celebrating its 25th anniversary of caring for Southwest Florida families. The practice was formed in 1996 by many local physicians and has grown to become the largest physician-owned independent primary care practice in Southwest Florida.
