Dignity Health Phoenix Sponsors Norm Lydiard "Breath of Hope" Charity Golf Tournament

PHOENIX - May 6, 2021 - PRLog -- The Lung Transplant Support Organization is a 501c3 non-profit charity dedicated to providing emotional, financial, and educational support to lung transplant patients and their caregivers. The Board announced the details for the 12^th Annual Norm Lydiard "Breath of Hope" Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 15, at Legacy Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona.

"Supporting transplant recipients and their caregivers is more important than ever during the Covid pandemic," said David Wick, President of LTSO. He added, "the emotional, education and financial support we provide above and beyond the medical care for lung transplant patients and their caregivers can change the trajectory of the healing process."

The tournament honors Norm Lydiard, a lung transplant recipient himself and a Phoenix-Scottsdale resident who advocated for transplant support and served as a patient champion. Norm was often the first lung transplant patient that potential patients would meet. He was quick to introduce himself and help them begin their path to the new gift of life.

LTSO welcomes all businesses and organizations to participate. Sponsorships are still available. "We anticipate over 140 golfers this year," said Wick. The golf tournament is our only fundraiser, with all proceeds raised directly benefiting transplant patients and their caregivers.

The format for the tournament is a 4-player Scramble with registration starting at 6:00 AM and play beginning at 7:00 AM Prizes include a Hole-in-One contest with a $5000.00 prize Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin contests, in addition to prizes for the first, second and third place teams. A Silent Auction will take place, and we have a raffle with gift baskets and other great prizes.
