Exotique Men Plans Return in September Along with Other Popular Broadway Shows

NEW YORK - May 5, 2021 - PRLog -- As the vaccines continue to roll out in New York City, Broadway shows plan their return in September 2021. As of May 2021, more than 1/3 of New Yorkers have been fully vaccinated. Mayor Bill de Blasio has stated that the city is expected to reopen on July 1st with the exception of Broadway theaters. There is currently no official reopening date yet set for Broadway shows but experts believe that September 2021 is the target date.

Tickets for Broadway shows are expected to go on sale starting June 2021. The maximum number of ticketholders per show is still uncertain. Some believe that shows will open with 75% capacity with an increase to 100% in the year 2022. However, a lot of it depends on the data from the vaccines and from Covid. In addition, the protocols for attendance have still not been set yet although many believe that masks will be required indoors as well as social distancing.

In addition, the air filtration systems in many Broadway theaters are outdated. As a result, it poses a significant risk to everybody in attendance including the performers. Replacing the HVAC system in Broadway theaters is a costly measure and some are hoping for federal funds to help pay for the upgrade. Currently, there is no official statement from Broadway theaters with regards to updating their air filtration systems.

There have been talks about having audience members provide proof of vaccinations. There is no official statement from the Broadway League regarding the requirements for proof of vaccination although many sporting events and other venues, such as the Lincoln Center, require it. Many theaters are expected to take the temperature at the door and require guests to wear masks while attending performances.

The popular male revue show (https://exotiquemen.com/), Exotique Men, is one of the shows that plans to reopen in September 2021. "We have suffered large losses but we are optimistic about the future," a spokesperson from the company stated. The company is uncertain of the future as many residents have left the city and tourism is at an all-time low. "People continue to leave Manhattan for more spacious living spaces and the number of tourists continues to decline," the spokesperson continued. "However we are optimistic about the future as New York is resilient and continues to grind through a hard time."

As more and more New Yorkers continue to get vaccinated, there is good hope that Broadway theaters can reopen in September 2021. With the proper protocols in place, many hope that popular Broadway shows can return. Performers, crew, owners, and audience members will have to continue to wait for data from the vaccinations and official guidelines from the mayor and the governor.
