Cladtek has been a user of DÜRR NDT's HD-CR 35 Computed Radiography scanner since 2018 and primarily utilizes it with X-ray and Iridium-192 sources to perform inspection on weld overlay pipe ends and butt welds. The device is used on a weekly basis and to date has been used to acquire several thousand images with high-definition image plates. According to Mr. Hutagalung, NDT Supervisor: "the best thing about the scanner is its portability" Cladtek has 12 operators who were fully trained on-site by a DÜRR NDT expert on how to use both the scanner and D-Tect inspection software. As most of the inspection team is already quite experienced with conventional film radiography, the training required to use the DÜRR CR system is quite minimal. On the topic of film-based radiography Mr. Hutagalung commented: "the images from the HD-CR 35 are far better than conventional film radiography and the handling and workflow is so much easier." The HD-CR 35 is Cladtek's first experience with digital radiography and they are currently working towards achieving customer acceptance of their new digital inspection process. Cladtek's customers include numerous global organizations such as Adnoc Group, Aramco, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Petrobras and Shell. PT. Cladtek is also fully supported by Singapore-based NDT Instruments Pte Ltd who performs annual maintenance and any other required service activities to ensure the system is always running per specification. https://www.duerr- End
