By: Wanda Alexis Alexander, LLC
"I love giving back to the University that poured so much into me and pulled so much out of me at the same time," states Alexander. "It is truly an honor to be on the receiving end of this designation and I look forward to continuing to serve." she concludes.
Each spring, the University of Maryland's Alumni Association honors the achievements of seven alum, recognizing their contributions to society through public service or business success. Named for Ralph J. Tyser '40 and Abram Z. Gottwals, this particular award celebrates those who serve the university by donating their time and talent.
Alexander was first elected to the Alumni Association's Board in 2009. In 2013, she received the Distinguished Alumni Award and served a two-year term as President of the Alumni Association's Board of Governors before moving on to the Board of Trustees in 2017.
The ceremony will take place April 23, 2021 at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center on University of Maryland College Park's campus. It will also be livestreamed. Learn more or register here (https://celebrateterps.umd.edu/
