Alexandra Allen is at the National Cathedral School located on the campus of Washington's National Cathedral. She has lived with her family in Guadalajara, Beijing (where she attended the British School), New York City (where she attended the Brearley School), and Washington D.C. (where she attended Sidwell Friends School) and enjoys Latin classical studies and humanitarian documentary films.
She has drawn national recognition, being awarded the Young Leaders Award by the Women's Economic Forum, an EXPY Award for media and communications, and has co-produced film documentaries – which have won six Emmy Awards, multiple TELLY Awards, a Quilly Award, and is a Best-Selling Author.

From childhood, she has traveled to over 12 developing Latin American countries on Vision Trips, helping to raise funds through film, bringing awareness and culture-language translation for orphanages and children's' feeding centers where vulnerable girls are protected, taught values and work skills, and educated to improve their futures.
