ST. PAUL, Minn. - April 11, 2021 - PRLog -- Planting People Growing Justice (PPGJ) has been named a 2020 honoree in the Social Enterprise Impact Showcase. The organization founded by Dr. Artika Tyner is being celebrated for its bookstore and publishing house, Planting People Growing Justice Press and Bookstore.

"We are thrilled to have made the 2020 Impact List," said Tyner. "We're committed to using business as a tool for social change. Thank you to Social Enterprise MSP and Bush Foundation for this recognition alongside 80 plus Minnesota-based organizations who've made the 2020 Impact List."

The Impact List is hosted by Social Enterprise MSP and powered by the Bush Foundation in collaboration with Ecotone Analytics. The list recognizes Minnesota-based organizations that are intentionally making a positive social and environmental impact. The full list of honorees can be viewed at Social Enterprise Impact Showcase and includes both non-profits and for-profits.

A celebration will be held on May 6, 2021 to officially honor those named to the list, highlight their stories, and how they're using their enterprises as a tool for social impact. Included will be leaders, changemakers, and pioneers that are challenging the way things have always been done and are breaking traditional organizational models.

Inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals set forth by the United Nations, the businesses and organizations encompass multiple arenas. The impact areas of PPGJ are quality education, no poverty, gender equality, and partnerships for the goals.

PPGJ was founded by Tyner as part of her leadership development and community engagement work, focusing on social change and community-building. The PPGJ Bookstore features a wealth of children's books that promote literacy, awareness, diversity, and leadership development. The publishing house encourages the work of new author voices, all of which enables readers to see themselves represented in the literature. Several of Tyner's children's books have won prestigious awards.

Being honored in the Social Enterprise Impact Showcase is a measure of the dedication that Tyner and the PPGJ have to create social change. The organization is making a difference for children, authors, and the leaders of tomorrow.
