AKCP Monitors Seahawk Marine Foods
AKCP, the world's oldest and largest supplier of networked wired and wireless sensor solutions installs a monitoring system for Seahawk Marine Foods.
Their London coldstore holds over 600 frozen products, with a capacity of 1000 pallets. Products are stored at -18°C or below, keeping them in optimum condition ensures quality and prolongs shelf life. Seahawk also have a smaller chiller unit where chilled products are stored at 5°C or below
Due to the nature of Seahawks products, it is vital to monitor the temperature of their coldstore and chiller. AKCP sensors were deployed for continuous monitoring within the coldstore.
"It gives us complete confidence and on-going reassurance to our customers in providing the highest standard of frozen and chilled seafood products," said Flora Gadd, Junior Technical Administrator at Seahawk.
Prior to the AKCP remote temperature monitoring Seahawk manually checked the temperatures and recorded them on paper, twice daily. The AKCP online recording system improves environmental impact by decreasing the paper trail adding to the Seahawk promise of sustainability.
"Manual monitoring was adequate to fulfill our needs. However, due to an increase in demand, this was time-consuming and environmentally damaging. It also did not take into account any deviations in-between temperature recording."
The AKCP sensors provide Seahawk a constant record of temperature fluctuations. The alerts sent from the AKCP system give peace of mind in case there is a high-temperature deviation, which can be detrimental to the stock. The remote monitoring capabilities via the internet allow Seahawk to utilize the system even when no one is on-site.
The AKCP wireless and wired monitoring systems are available now. Contact email@example.com for more details.
