MARIETTA, Ga. - March 25, 2021 - PRLog -- For the year of 2021, Pie Bar is finding creative ways to connect with community members and provide joy. They are doing this through their "For the Masses" project.

The "For the Masses" project provides creative ways for community members to connect with one another, whether they live locally or not. Previous events have included an online Bake-Along with Pie Bar's owner, Lauren Bolden, where students made a CranPeary Pie at home. Upcoming events include plans for a DIY Terrarium Class using coffee grounds for Earth Day, and an online Biscuit Class with a local biscuit maker for National Biscuit Day.

The Month of March is National Reading Month and as a part of Pie Bar's "For the Masses" project, Pie Bar will unveil their new Little Free Pie-Brary located beside their pie shop in the Marietta Square. Pie Bar team members painted, installed, and collected books to highlight the importance of reading for both children and adults.

The Pie Bar team worked with the Downtown Marietta Development Authority to choose the location of the new Little Free Pie-Brary. It has been painted Pie Bar's signature colors, white and black, and stands approximately 30 inches tall. The Little Free Pie-Brary is located at the end of Powder Springs Street right before crossing the railroad tracks on the Mountain to River Trail.

Pie Bar is hosting a small Little Free Pie-Brary Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and will have speakers including Abby Smith, the Welcome Center Manager for the Marietta Visitors Bureau and Lauren Bolden, the owner of Pie Bar.

This will be Pie Bar's second Little Free Pie-Brary installment. The first was installed in Downtown Woodstock in June 2019, as a part of Pie Bar's "30 Days of Kindness" initiative. Pie Bar's General Manager, Vivian El-Salawy told 2019 ceremony attendees how the Little Free Pie-Brary initially got its start when "a loyal customer brought in books to share with our team, and we felt like we needed to share her generosity with our community."

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 30th at 3:30pm. The Ceremony is open to the public and all community members. Guests are encouraged to bring books to donate and place them in the Little Free Pie-Brary. The ceremonial "first book" swap will be done by Lauren Bolden.

Following the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, guests will be invited to a reception with complimentary Pie Bar Itty Bitties (bite sized pies) and iced coffee.
