Ms. Wisconsin 2020 sets sights on becoming Ms. Black America

MILWAUKEE - March 12, 2021 - PRLog -- Local entrepreneur and beauty influencer Keerah Yeowang is passionate about empowering women and girls to embrace the best versions of themselves.

That spirit, along with her commitment through entrepreneurship and advocacy to lift up and inspire women everywhere, won her the title of Ms. Wisconsin 2020 in the elite Mr., Mrs., and Ms. Black America Pageant (MMBA).

Now, she has her sights set on winning the Ms. Black America title in the MMBA's national USA Global Pageant, slated to be held in October of this year.

Yeowang is an entrepreneur and professional makeup artist who launched her own beauty brand, Poshmetics Cosmetics, to inspire self confidence in women and teen girls through makeup and beyond. The leading beauty brand is recognized worldwide for their cutting-edge highlighter.

Through her growing YouTube channel, the emerging influencer and former model shares content about makeup, confidence, fashion and more to empower women to unlock the timeless beauty and greatness within them.

"I believe strongly that when you look good, you feel good," Yeowang said. "When you feel good, you do good. My goal is to go beyond makeup to help every woman look, feel, and do good every day."

This spring, Yeowang will launch her "School of Glam" to help people overcome common beauty challenges and achieve luxurious looks through simple, informative trainings.

Yeowang's business network and personal outreach extend all the way from Milwaukee to Kisumu, Kenya, a port city on Lake Victoria in Africa. There, she has worked with the Widows Training Centre in the Ngere Kagoro village to help ostracized and underserved widows, orphans, and people experiencing disabilities achieve self-sufficiency with job readiness and entrepreneurship training.

In addition to running her own business and advocating for female empowerment, she is the leader of the exclusive Facebook group "The Powder Room," a private beauty community where members discuss beauty, fashion, confidence, and more.

As a rising thought leader and motivator, she was also tapped to be a judge of the Wisconsin Division of the Mrs. United States Pageant - United States National Pageant this month in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
