The captain had become a national celebrity after raising money for charity during the COVID pandemic. The Captain Tom Moore Memorial Skip features images of Captain Tom against a Union Jack background, and has the words "The sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away" superimposed at the top - a statement Captain Tom made after he completed the 100th lap of his garden. The first use of this skip was on the 18th February when it was delivered to a property in Reigate. Commenting, a spokesperson for Taylors Skip Hire said: "Captain Tom truly captured the heart of the nation. "We know he's been immortalised in countless ways by people across the UK, but we wanted to create a memorial to him in our own little way.
