BEYA 2021 Announces HBCU Scholarship Winners From Conference Trivia Game Experience

Participants of the conference had the option to enter the "HBCU Village," where each of the 15 ABET-accredited HBCU Engineering schools had their individual suites where alumni and attendees could visit and network with one another.
Playing to Win Collectively
BEYA STEM 2021 attendees were prompted to select 1 of the 15 schools at registration. A trivia game with five questions relating to the respective HBCU was set up in each village. Individual points accumulated in each trivia game also applied to their chosen school's score.
"This year's conference is a little different," said Tyrone Taborn, CEO of Career Communications Group and BEYA Chairman, "and we wanted to ensure that we created an interactive environment in this digital twin. The trivia games allowed participants to have fun but also learn more about these dynamic HBCUs, with the opportunity to win scholarships for their respective schools and teams."
Questions in each village included fun facts and history questions relating to each school. The games led to a final contest to see which schools and villages could gain the most points and visitors throughout the event.
