APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. - Feb. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- This Sunday night on SKY 7, Rock and Roll 101 - hosted by Daniel the Musicologist - puts the spotlight on early FM radio tracks - songs that had no place on commercial Top 40 AMs, but were popular on the less restrictive and free-wheeling FM formats that were getting underway in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The lineup includes The Doors, The Guess Who, The Beau Brummels, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Moby Grape, It's A Beautiful Day, Mason Proffit, and more, including Aliotta, Haynes & Jeremiah.

In the second hour, "Hey Joe" is the Cover of the Week, there's a segment on other notable covers (from J.J. Cale, Jackie DeShannon, The Everly Brothers and Cannibal & The Headhunters), and the Vintage Tunedex features the top national hits for the week of Jan. 14, 1967.

Rock and Roll 101 is heard every Sunday on SKY 7 at 6 p.m. (reboot at 8 p.m.) Mountain Standard Time. To listen, log on to https://sky7music.com, then click on Classic Hits and Awesome Variety. Or, download the SKY 7 app.
