Addressing Problematic Employee Behavior with Insights from Neuroscience

 
SAN FRANCISCO - Feb. 15, 2021 - PRLog -- Robert Goldmann, business coach and author of the self-management handbook, Act From Choice, and Steve McElfresh, founder and principal of HR Futures, will conduct an online roundtable discussion sponsored by SHRM Northern California (Society for Human Resource Management), on Wednesday, February 17 from noon to 2 pm, Pacific Time.

McElfresh and Goldmann will present the specific skills HR professionals can use to better manage interventions to change unacceptable workplace behaviors. They'll navigate a case study describing a successful intervention that resulted in a key employee permanently changing his bullying behavior after a few brief sessions using The Act from Choice Method: a set of tools designed to help people change unwanted behavior, and improving their relationships and performance at work and elsewhere.

In his coaching and mentoring practice (Clarity and Performance Coaching, now in its 19th year), Robert Goldmann works with executives, business owners, professionals and others seeking to design and reach fulfilling business and personal goals. He is a former CEO of manufacturing and financial service companies, and a facilitator of groups dealing with life-threatening illness and bereavement, as well as a meditation instructor. He is the author of Act from Choice, on which this talk is based. He is a graduate of MIT and Harvard Business School.

Steve McElfresh is a Principal and Founder of, HR Futures, Inc where he works with scaling organizations to address their people problems of growth. Recently, McElfresh was the SVP/People at Duo Security, driving growth and supporting their acquisition and integration with Cisco. He has been the CHRO at three other tech companies, two of which he took public. he was also the President/CEO of Saratoga Institute and taught at the Boston College School of Management. Steve has a Ph.D from Boston College and a JD from Santa Clara University. And he is a past-president of BAHREC.
