NFL Leaders need to go all-in on fearlessness

NFL leaders are using innovative technology to prepare for the Super Bowl, yet are still stuck in the ancient practice of using scripts when speaking to the public. It's time for them to embrace fearlessness and lose the script forever.

MINNEAPOLIS - Feb. 1, 2021 - PRLog -- Great athletes and coaches are fearlessly embracing all sorts of new technologies in order to prepare for the big game this weekend, yet they are still using ancient practices when it comes to public speaking.

Reports (https://www.foxnews.com/sports/tom-brady-virtual-reality-buccaneers-offense-strivr) have come out that Tom Brady is using Virtual Reality technology to gain an upper hand for the Super Bowl this weekend. This should come as no surprise to any of us. The best of the best train with the best - both in people and technology - because keeping on top of your game is always a good plan if you want to succeed. We need to apply this thinking to building up our communications skills.

As is being reported by NBC (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/30/new-coaches-general-managers-should-ditch-the-prepared-remarks/), a few of the top NFL coaches have recently been scrutinized for using scripts and pre-written messaging in interviews, making them sound "stiff, robotic, and unnatural." These are fearless athletes, who have faced incredible challenges and succeeded, yet they're still stuck using scripts.

Anett Grant, CEO of Executive Speaking, leads the way in using innovative technologies for coaching Executive leaders on how to speak spontaneously, without the need for scripts or pre-written messaging, and has been doing so for over 40 years. She has published hundreds of articles and been quoted in major publications like the Wall Street Journal and Fast Company, for her incredible work in the field of spontaneous speaking and leadership presence. Her research on spontaneous speaking has also been published academically. "It's More Than Just Talk: Patterns of CEO Impromptu Communication," was featured (https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/232949061456...) in the SAGE Journal of Business and Professional Communication.

In this time of great innovation and technological breakthrough, it is time for great leaders to advance in all areas - this means their speaking as well.
