WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Jan. 27, 2021 - PRLog -- Recent numbers are telling us divorce due to the coronavirus pandemic is up 34%. Although a common perception of divorce is that it is always completely negative and destructive to the family unit, it doesn't have to be that way.

Matthew Brickman is a Florida family mediator and the founder and president of iMediate Inc., who currently has more than ten years of providing mediation services to people experiencing domestic disputes and conflict with their family or intimate partners. Mr. Brickman has served the community faithfully and purposefully through his belief that he was born to mediate. He recently addressed the importance of co-parenting during and after divorce to help preserve the family structure.

He interviewed a recent divorcee on this subject on his podcast show MediateThis! Their full comments on the benefits of co-parenting throughout and after the divorce process can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0uGLc5XOvs

Co-parenting, joint parenting or shared parenting enables divorcing couples with children to raise them within a parenting plan as single parents working in unison when separation or divorce occurs. Often a difficult process, co-parenting is greatly influenced by the intentions and reciprocal interactions of each parent.

Mr. Brickman made the statement, "Mediation has now become the gold standard for matters of divorce, paternity, timesharing (child custody, visitation), parental rights and child support. Become empowered through mediation."
