Rock and Roll 101 offers 2-hour British Invasion special on SKY 7

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. - Jan. 21, 2021 - PRLog -- Join Daniel the Musicologist on Sunday for Rock and Roll 101, a weekly two-hour music history show, on SKY 7 internet radio. Show time is 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.

This week, it's a two-hour special on the British Invasion – The First Wave. The Beatles are in the lineup, of course. So are The Rolling Stones, Cliff Richard and the Shadows, The Kinks, The Searchers, The Hollies, Dusty Springfield, The Dave Clark Five, The Animals, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Manfred Mann and more.

There's also a segment of American acts trying to adapt to the new sound – including Brenda Lee, Tommy Roe, Bobby Rydell, Del Shannon and Bobby Vee – as well as pre-Invasion British rock, and acts that never made it to the states. All that, and "Love Me Do" is the Cover of the Week.
