By: Readers' Favorite Reviewed By Emily-Jane Hills Orford for Readers' Favorite "And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3) Children are more accepting of simpler things, like the beauty of a leaf that has changed colors and fallen to the ground; or the wonder of a flower that opens up to the world; of a squirrel that buries its acorns for its winter harvest; of the geese that know how and when to fly south. Through the eyes of children, we can all see and understand and appreciate God's love more deeply. A child can reach out to God with simple questions and wonder in the answers that are right before their eyes: "How do you do it?/ I'm glad you made dogs./ They help me to know you better./ Thank you for thinking of them." And, my favorite because I love honey, too: "How do you do it?/ How do you teach the bee to make honey?/ You're really smart. How did the bee know to do that job?/ I really like sticky, gooey honey./ I'm glad you thought of it." Pamela A. Taylor's picture book story, Daddy, Daddy! Guess What I Saw Today?, is a loving look at a child's perspective of his/her relationship with God. Daddy, the fond, familiar name of Father, is our ever-loving Father in heaven. In this book, the author leads the reader through a child's conversation with God the Father (Daddy) and how wonderful are all the things the child sees, learns about, and appreciates in this beautiful world. But this is more than just a children's storybook; the simple message of love, acceptance, and appreciation must be clear to all of us, as we are all God's children. The simple illustrations are colorful in their representation of a child's perspective of what they see. Beautifully told and illustrated." You can learn more about Pamela A.
