Greater Brisbane COVID Lockdown

BRISBANE, Australia - Jan. 7, 2021 - PRLog -- Environmental Health Australia (QLD) Inc. extends our full support to the Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, the Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeannette Young, and the Minister for Health, Yvette D'Ath and welcome the decision to place Greater Brisbane into a three (3) day lockdown to prevent the spread of the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19.

Our members have been working tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic protecting communities at airports, quarantine hotels, major events, and businesses. They have been managing front-line health teams in an attempt to prevent the spread of COVID-19, coordinating and undertaking contact tracing and inspecting businesses for COVID-19 compliance. In large, these duties have been in addition to their usual public health and environmental protection duties.

EHA thanks all front-line workers, including our members, for their hard work, dedication and commitment to protecting our Queensland Community and pray that they can remain safe and strong as they combat this new pandemic threat across our wonderful State.  EHA encourages the community to comply with the Chief Health Officer's directions so we can restore our State's health and economy efficiently and effectively.
