Michael and his wife Annette of 32 years live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and have three children. Michael is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul MN. He has also been a youth and high school track coach for twenty years and is currently the collegiate bass fishing team coach for Minnesota State University.
