The Lunasphere LLC Announces New Product Line Utilizing FAR-UVC: Kryptonite

MARGATE, Fla. - Dec. 29, 2020 - PRLog -- The Lunasphere LLC is excited to announce their newest product line: Kryptonite. The Kryptonite product line has two current product models: The Kryptonite 11 and The Kryptonite 36. This new product line utilizes far-UVC technology, which emits wavelengths of 222nm light, versus the Luna product line, which emits wavelengths of 254nm light. The difference in wavelengths makes both Kryptonite products an ideal option for all day disinfectant. Unlike germicidal UV, far-UVC does not penetrate the skin or eyes, making it safe for humans. Thus, one of the major benefits of the Kryptonite products is that they can be utilized continuously in occupied spaces allowing for constant disinfection of the environment and effectively lowering the risk of transmission through the air.

Both Kryptonite models have a 3,000-hour lamp life with expected Luminaire life of up to 15 years. The Kryptonite 11 is recommended for an 8-11 foot ceiling and disinfects up to 250 square feet per fixture, while the Kryptonite 36 is recommended for an 11-35 foot ceiling and disinfects up to 1,000 square feet per fixture.
