Gold Coast PR Council Elects 2021 Board of Directors, Names Melissa Perlman President

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Dec. 22, 2020 - PRLog -- The Gold Coast PR Council, Inc. (https://www.goldcoastprcouncil.com/) (GCPRC), South Florida's largest independent group of PR, marketing and communications professionals from Palm Beach, Broward, Martin and Dade counties, today announced its new 2021 Board of Directors. The newly elected president of GCPRC is Melissa Perlman, president and founder of BlueIvy Communications (http://www.blueivy.co/), a Delray Beach-based Public Relations & Communications agency.

Melissa Perlman founded BlueIvy Communications in 2011 and has since grown the company into a team of respected writers, editors, photographers, designers and PR professionals. She has been recognized twice by PRNews, the premiere magazine in the PR industry. She was celebrated in 2017 by South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine as an Up & Comer, Boca Life Magazine as one of the publication's 2014 40 Under 40, and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel as part of the publication's inaugural 2012 Top Workplaces Awards.

Melissa Perlman's leadership will energize the GCPRC as it endeavors to move past COVID-19 and into a prosperous new year. Prior to launching BlueIvy Communications, Melissa spent seven years at Office Depot's corporate headquarters, and spent time at various news organizations and stations in Florida, New York and Rhode Island.

Melissa resides in Delray Beach, Florida. A graduate of Brown University, where she received a B.A. degree in Expository Writing, she is an Executive Committee Member and Communications Co-Chair of the Friends of Brown University Track Alumni Group as well as Chair of the Maccabi USA FunRun in South Florida and Board Member of Maccabi USA FLF & FunRun Organization. She has represented Team USA in the Maccabi Games five separate times. Melissa is currently the Endurance Chair for the 2022 World Maccabi Games for Team USA and is considered a sub-elite marathoner, boasting a personal best time of 2 hours and 49 minutes for the 26.2 mile distance.
