Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce receives Service Medal from County of Santa Clara

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Dec. 18, 2020 - PRLog -- The Sunnyvale-based Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce received the Service Medal from the County of Santa Clara for efforts made to serve Santa Clara County residents with dedication and commitment during the pandemic. The medal was presented virtually by Supervisor Joe Simitian during a Board of Supervisors' meeting.

"I am thankful to Supervisor Simitian and the County of Santa Clara for recognizing the chamber's efforts this year," said Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce CEO Dawn Maher. "We are committed to continuing to engage with the community in positive ways while advocating for businesses in Sunnyvale and supporting economic progress."

The Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce invested in many initiatives that benefitted members and the community over the course of 2020. These included updating internal technology and implementing Member Management Software for a newly built website launching in January; creating a reimagined communication, marketing, and branding strategy; building relationships with city stakeholders; engaging with the chamber coalition to support local and regional measures providing support to small businesses in Sunnyvale, including the Small Business Financial Assistance Program; and engaging with the educational community to partner with Future Business Leaders of America on a Shop Local program.
