Linebacker, , Basil Jackson, Announces Re-signing To The Calgary Stampeders

The Calgary Stampeders, a team in the Canadian Football League, signed Basil for their 2020 season, which was abruptly canceled due to COVID-19. While Basil Jackson was disappointed in the cancellation before the season had a chance to start, he remained dedicated in his commitment to play for the Stampeders, and is happy for the contract renewal.

"I am extremely grateful to renew my contract with the Calgary Stampeders after the cancellation of the 2020 season,"  the Tarlton alum, and former New Yorker Lion,  says. "Being brought into this team means a lot to me and I am really looking forward to  being able to come in and contribute where I can."

The Stampeders have a long winning history with 8 Grey Cup wins and 17 Grey Cup appearances. While their 2019 season ended sooner than they had hoped, the addition of Basil Jackson to their already impressive roster solidifies what is sure to be a winning season.

The Calgary Stampeders pre-season will kick-off on  May 23rd against the BC Lions.
