Little Edo

Most compelling for families is Candy Alley, just 1.4 miles from the hotel, where traditional candies are made and sold.

Confectionary is a Local Treat

Kawagoe is famous in Japan for a treat made from sweet potatoes. Here are some particularly photogenic treats.

*Sweet potato chips from Koedo Osatsuan ( Both delicious and attractive, they are arranged like a vase of flowers.

*Koi (love) soft serve ice cream from Kashoumon's Toki no Kane branch ( The flavorful purple sweet potato ice cream goes perfectly with a heart-shaped monaka, a Japanese bean paste snack.
