Dr. Stephanie Kinsey completes continuing education and advanced certification in jaw disorders

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Dec. 14, 2020 - PRLog -- Stephanie Kinsey, DDS, owner and founder of Palencia Dental has completed core programs and advanced education focusing on proactive, advanced neuromuscular jaw pain correction in oral medicine.

Dr. Kinsey completed the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, (LVI Global) continuing education (CE) credit courses in Practical Advanced TMD Continuum and evaluating TMD patients with Cone-beam computed tomography systems (CBCT), a variation of traditional computed tomography. TMD diagnosis and treatment is one of
Dr. Kinsey's most significant competencies to help patients suffering with jaw pain and tooth loss. TMD is a medical term covering pain and or dysfunction of the muscles, and joints that move and or connect the lower and upper jaw to the skull including the malady, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ, TMD).

Her studies in Las Vegas on December 6 included training on identifying patients who can benefit from a CBCT, which is taken onsite at Palencia Dental, combined with patient examinations for diagnostic purposes. Additional instruction covered aligning the CBCT's multifaceted images and analyzing results and abnormalities to benefit the patient.

Dr. Kinsey continues her distinguished training and research in all facets of dentistry and patient safety to serve the community and educate patients on the importance of dental and oral health and addressing the concerns of COVID 19 in the medical and health environment. Dr. Kinsey ensures the health and safety of her patients and staff with a medical team that cleans and disinfects the dental operatories between interactions with patients. Dr. Kinsey is an American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) Qualified Dentist and has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years.
