Jean is an award-winning performer who's been nominated more than 100 times for her music, most recently winning "World Artist of the Year" at the 2020 Josie Music Awards, and "Social Justice Song" at the 2020 W.A.M. Awards for her powerful song "I Am," off her latest album "Where Do We Go From Here?" The hauntingly poignant song is about "giving into someone else's fear of racism," Jean writes. "I did this song in one take. What you hear is my heart and soul," she says in a separate release. "It is a very honest depiction of how I feel, living as a black woman in this America."
